DIY Christmas Room Decor Ideas!

Hello everyone, I cannot believe that its December, I am so excited for christmas! So for this festive season I have decided to do a room decor ideas post, and this is for people who might not be feeling in the festive spirit who want to be or for the people who can't think of anything to do to make their room more christmassy. I have been asked to do blogmas but I don't think I will be able to do, so instead I will be posting twice a week instead of once! This might be a long one so I hope you enjoy it!

Countdown to Christmas Blocks

What you will need:
2 wooden square blocks (Can buy from the Range if UK, Target if your from USA)
Christmas patterns (Can print some off)
A rectangular wooden block.
Stick on numbers (or you can print some off online)
Green paint and white paint.

What to do:
1. Paint the square blocks white and while your waiting for them to dry, paint the rectangular block green.
2. Cut out squares from the christmas patterns as the same size as a side of the square. You need to cut out 12 of those squares.
3. Once the wooden blocks have dried you can stick on the squares onto each side of the square blocks.
4. You then need to then cut out a 0,1,2,3,4,5 and these numbers go on the first square block, and then you need to print and cut out a 0,1 2,6,7,8 which need to be stuck onto the second block.
5. You then write on the front of the rectangular block 'days till christmas', and then your done!

Bauble Jar

What you will need:
A big mason jar.
Baubles

What to do:
1. You get a bunch of different baubles (doesn't matter what size) and you basically just put them in the jar until the very top.
2. Thats it!

You can put this wherever you want in your room and it just adds a nice touch to it.

Mini Christmas Tree

What you will need:
A mini christmas tree
Baubles
Fairy Lights

What you need to do:
1. This DIY is pretty simple, you put up your tree wherever you want in your room, preferably near a plug socket (as you might be plugging in your lights).
2. You wrap your lights around your tree and then decorate it with baubles.

Fairy Tinsel Lights

What you will need:
Tinsel
Battery Powered White Fairy Lights
Sellotape

What to do:
1. You hang up your tinsel wherever you want to, and stick it down with some sellotape. I put it along my shelves.
2. Once your tinsel is secure you wrap your fairy lights around your tinsel, and stick the battery pack thing down to whatever surface is nearest.

Personalised Ornaments

For this DIY, its not really a *do it yourself*. You can go to a christmas shop or a christmas fair, and buy a personalised ornament/decoration and it lets people know its your room and that you like christmas! I got mine done at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, London.

Christmassy Duvet

This DIY isn't really a DIY either but you can do this stuff yourself. I think to make your room even more festive is your bed. It has to look 'the part', so I bought this Christmas duvet from Primark and they have one like this but in blue aswell. This was £12.00!

Christmas Backgrounds

What you will need:
A phone
The patience to pick a background.

What to do:
1.You go onto google and type in, 'tumblr christmas backgrounds'.
2. You pick a background and you set it as your background on your phone.
Simple as that! (Quite proud of this btw!)

This is the end of my DIY Fesitive Room Decor Ideas and I hope this gave you some help to make your room more festive!! Let me know in the comments if you have done any of these ideas!!
